Natural Peduncle Silk. This is undyed natural Soft Goldish Brown colored silk. Wonderful for spinning by itself and blending with other fibers.
This silk has a shorter fiber length with a softer sheen than most other silks. A perfect option to blend into your wools, especially with the darker fleeces and still have a combination of all natural colors. This is a more bulky option of the silk family that is very soft with characteristics of wool.

Peduncle silk is from the Tussah silk cocoon but it does not come from the actual cocoon but from the foot. Meaning, the connection from the cocoon to the anchor point. Peduncle is another word for foot. It is a shorter fiber with a wooly character. It is easy to spin into a textured yarn and felts with wool easily.
I try to get the colors on the screen to look like the actual fiber but as monitors will vary the colors might not be exactly as pictured.
