This is a lovely blend of White Eri Silk and Golden Muga Silk. Beautiful for spinning by itself and blending with other fibers. It spins best as a slubby yarn which gives a lovely texture. Use as a single for weaving to create a "raw silk" look or 2-ply to even out the slubs and knit into a great summer top. Very soft and easy to work with.
Eri silk is also known as endi or errandi in India. The silk is often referred to as the fabric of peace as it is processed without killing the silkworm. This process results in a silk called Ahimsa silk. Moths leave the cocoon and then the cocoons are harvested to be spun.
Muga silk is another variety of wild silk from India. The silk is known for its extreme durability with a shimmering, glossy texture. It was previously reserved for the use of royalty. It gets more golden with each washing.
Sold in increments of 1 oz.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason I do offer returns as long as they are in the same condition as they were when I shipped them. I do not refund your return shipping.
